ADRE requires that you take twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education (CE) every two (2) years. Even existing licensees whose real estate license will not expire for four (4) years must still take twenty-four (24) hours of CE every two (2) years.
You must have AT LEAST three (3) hours of CE in each of six (6) categories (shown above): (1) Agency Law, (2) Contract Law, (3) Commissioner's Standards, (4) Disclosure, (5) Fair Housing, and (6) Real Estate Legal Issues. You may have MORE than three (3) hours of CE credit in each of the six catagories, but not less.
If you take one (1) three-hour CE course in each of the six (6) categories, you will have eighteen (18) hours. You will still need six (6) more hours to satisfy the license renewal requirement. You may take one (1) or more CE courses in any of the six (6) required categories OR you may take one (1) or more CE courses in the "General" category (which is not a required CE category, but WILL count toward your twenty-four (24) hour requirement).
